The Anne Arundel Soil Conservatiaon District's agricultural division provides services to agricultural landowners in order to protect soil and water resources. Some of the services the agricultural division provides include: creating a soil conservation and water quality plan, assisting with the guidance and design of agricultural best management practices (BMP), providing Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) cost-share assistance, and supplying landowners with technical information and resources.

2009 Cooperator of the Year
Carol Jahnigen of Burrages End Farm was named the 2009 Anne Arundel Soil Conservation District Cooperator of the Year in recognition of her efforts to install and maintain conservation practices on her farm in order to control and prevent soil erosion.
